About us

Where Tradition Meets Modern Style

A fashion destination for Edmonton’s multicultural community — clothing, accessories and tailoring for everyday life and for the days that matter most.

Our story

A neighbourhood fashion shop that grew with its community

Chandigarh Styles & Trends started as a fashion and fabric shop serving Edmonton’s South Asian families — the kind of place you went to for a length of cloth, a suit for a family function, or a hem that needed taking up before the weekend.

Over time the shop became something bigger. Customers who came in for one thing needed four: the outfit, the fitting, the jewellery, the shoes. Rather than sending them across the city, we widened the range and brought the tailoring in house. Today a single visit can cover a whole family, a whole wedding, or simply the suit you need for Sunday.

Gurjet Goshal still runs the shop the same way it started — in person, with time for the conversation, and with a straight answer when a straight answer is what helps.

Our philosophy

How We Like to Work

Four things that shape every conversation in the shop.

01

Fit before everything

An outfit only looks expensive when it fits. That is why stitching and alterations are part of the shop rather than something we send you elsewhere for.

02

Honest advice

Sometimes the right answer is the lighter piece, or the cheaper one, or the one you already own with a small adjustment. We will say so.

03

Everyone is welcome

Punjabi, Gujarati, Fijian-Indian, South Indian, Pakistani families — and anyone invited to a wedding who has never worn Indian clothing before.

04

Range that works

Everyday cotton suits and full bridal lehengas belong in the same shop, because families need both.
