Buying for children who will not sit still
Two practical rules. First, avoid heavy net and sharp zari against the skin — it looks beautiful and it itches, and a child in an itchy outfit will be out of it within the hour. Ask for a lined piece or have a lining added.
Second, buy for the child’s size now rather than the size you hope they will be. If the wedding is months away, a piece with adjustable ties or an easily let-out seam is worth more than a size guess.
Matching the family
Coordinating a family for a wedding is easier when it is done in one visit rather than assembled from three shops. Bring the adults’ outfits or photos of them, and we will pull children’s pieces that sit in the same palette without looking like a uniform.
